Do you trust your government?

Government issues has always been a topic whether on the newspaper, tv, radio or social media in our country. Especially in this sensitive period when the election is near.
Government is all about power. It is build by people who have power, or who have connection with powerful people. Power is something that make people lost themselves. They will forget what their responsibility, misuse their power and wealth.
At last, they corrupted.
Not only people change when they have power but corrupt people are drawn to power too.
Of course there are good people in the government who use their power altruistically but unfortunately not many of people like this will win the election.

We will have promises of different parties that if they won the election, what they will do for the people, for the country.
But is it true that they will practice their promises? Should we trust them?
Even though our government 'on board' now, should we trust them as a government?

Government put little to no effort when dealing with 'some cases'.
We can trust government when they can perform honestly in many circumstances, but what we get is not what we hope for.
Some said we should trust the government because they are the one who in charge of the nation and keep our home safe.
But have the government perform honestly in the past till now?
Where is equity? Where is justice? When the government cheated, keep secret from us and harbour some people and cover up their deeds.

We can have little faith in them but we couldn't just trust them entirely. Because there are too many incidents that made us lost our trust.
They said we can have the freedom of speech. But when we share things on social media, talk about the government or any party, they took action.
Some say that how can we trust our government when we don’t know where our money goes? National finance is no doubt an issue that the taxpayer are staring at. Especially the happens of incident of $60millions. And others.
Some say that the government had reveal where our money goes in the budget speech.
Why not we trust them?
In his 2018 Budget speech, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak revealed that the federal government debt stood at RM685.06 billion as at end-June 2017.
This means that government debt at 50.9% of our country's gross domestic product (GDP).
All these might appear to be just abstract numbers to the layman but just how much is our government debt compared to other countries around the world?
The chart below show that how Malaysia debt of RM 685 billions looks like. (malaysiandigest.com, 2017)

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak also gave the assurance that he would continue to empower the Bumiputera economy in the face of various challenges.
He said that up to now the federal government had distributed funds totalling RM77 billion to Bumiputera entrepreneurs through 13 primary agencies.
RM19 billion channelled through the Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, RM5 billion through Tekun Nasional and almost RM3 billion through Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad.
Matching grants amounting to RM500,000 for rewarding company that listed in the Bumiputera Enterprise Enhancement Programme (BEEP) under SME Corporation Malaysia. RM40 million would be provided under the Local to Global Corporation Ascend 800 (LGC800) programme that up to 80 high-performance Bumiputera SME companies can loans of up to RM500,000 per company to transform their businesses.
RM60 million for Bumiputera Youth Entrepreneurs Tunas Programme (TUBE) to prepare and train 3,000 Bumiputera youths in 2019.
RM50 million would also be allocated for the implementation of the Wira eDagang Digital Free-Trade Zone for 10,000 Bumiputera SMEs within three years.
And etc…  (Thesundaily.my, 2018)
The questions is, is the off balance of the debt fully count?
Can the RM77 billion reach the organisations in the accurate amount and fairly use in the programmes and actions?

That’s why the conclusion of the topic is, no matter who you are or what country you live in. We don’t trust our government 100% entirely as there are still so many unknown for us.
